It’s a weekend full of epic drifting at the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
The UAE capital is playing host to the 15th season of the Red Bull Car Park Drift series this weekend!
Head to Abu Dhabi’s Corniche on 4 March at 2pm for the start of an amazing time. This time is all about watching expert drivers defy the rules of physics and mesmerise adrenaline junkies in the audience for the coveted title!
The Red Bull Car Park Drift entourage will battle it out on a specially built track at Nation Towers, promising smoke and show! The event is being organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism alongside Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
The winner will be crowned the UAE’s King of Drift, and will then go on to represent the country in the World Finals, later in the year. 24 drivers from 18 countries showed off their skills last season, with wild-card entry Hisham Al Khatib emerging victorious!
Imagine a Toyota GT86 being thrown through a mind-bending sequence of stunts, and that’s exactly what he achieved at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit last December.
Since its inception in 2008 in Lebanon, the Red Bull Car Park Drift Championship gained enough speed to add more events, locations, and an entire roster of fun! This time around, expect 12 months of events spread across the region and beyond, culminating in the World Final, which will be held in Doha, Qatar on 1 December.
