The new paid parking in Abu Dhabi comes into effect on Monday, 29 July

Motorists listen up!

Starting Monday, today 29 July Abu Dhabi will introduce paid parking in Khalifa Commercial District and Etihad Plaza in Khalifa City, targeting illegal parking reduction.

The three affected sectors, SW2, SE45, and SE48, collectively offer over 2,500 parking spaces, with dedicated spots for people of determination.

Sector details

 

SE48: Located at Etihad Airways headquarters on Al Mireef Street, includes 694 spaces, 3 for people of determination.

SE45: At Etihad Plaza, between Al Mireef and Al Ibtisamah Streets, features 1,283 spaces, 17 for people of determination.

SW2: Between Al Marmouq and Al Qalayid Streets, with 523 spaces, 17 for people of determination.

You will have to use the Mawaqif system to purchase tickets. Typically, premium zones cost AED3 per hour, and standard zones AED2 per hour or AED15 for 24 hours, with free parking on Sundays and public holidays.

This initiative aims to enhance safety and parking management.
